Happy golf season!!
Now that the Masters are over, it’s officially time to get back on the course! (PS- How cute was it to see him cry and talk about his newly adopted son?!)
I went golfing for the first time last week and was a little rusty!
Hopefully I’ll get back into the “swing of things” soon! ;)

Happy Easter!
Hope you all had a great weekend. I spent both days working.. but I did celebrate with family, too!

I wanted to share a craft I made for this weekend: a colorful Easter garland.

I had first seen the idea on Pinterest but wanted to make a few changes.

Here’s the process:

1. Go to your favorite hardware store (Home Depot, Lowe’s) and gather your favorite spring-y paint chip colors.

2. Cut the paint chips into circles (see photo #2).

  • I used a cookie-cutter to create the perfect circle.
  • I thought it would be “artsy” to have the eggs be two different colors and I used the divider (between two color swatches) as if it were two different parts of the egg. I also thought it would be creative to have the two colors of the egg vary.

3. Use a small hole punch at the top of the “egg” so it can be hung easily.

4. I chose to use a purple ribbon (to keep with the spring theme) to string the eggs together.

  • Make sure that the material is strong enough to hold the eggs. Unfortunately, the first ribbon I tried break several times before properly staying on the mantel.

5. I hung the garland over the fireplace (see photo #3).

If I were to do this activity again, I would make these changes:

Make all of the eggs equal.

-I would make the top color and bottom color equal sizes. Instead of trying to make it look “cool” to have the top color larger than the bottom, it looks cleaner to have all parts equal.

Make sure the hanging material (ribbon, yarn, twine) is strong enough to hold the eggs.

Hope you enjoy making this activity! One of the great things about this is that you can make it for multiple holidays! You can create stars for Fourth of July, Christmas trees for Christmas, hearts for Valentine’s Day and even initials for birthdays!
